Hey, I updated with my Moorpark doodles and stuff. This is the entry I wrote on my xanga; I don't feel like writing up a whole other entry.
I updated my deviant art after almost 6 months of non-use!
So apparently Vincent Van Gogh wrote many letters to his brother Theo describing his intent with his paintings. While I was working on the oil pastel work, I began thinking about art and what makes my art worthy of my pride. (note: I have no pride in my work...) I realized how meditative drawing is and how many artists wrote so much and became great theorists because they "meditated" while producing their pieces.
Anyways, so I came across a very profound thought: "Art is art if you believe in it." My sister was telling me how artists are very into their work; is that what she meant? You have to believe in your piece and what it represents in order for you to be proud of it. But then again, production of a piece should be for yourself and not other people's judgement.
